How To: Perfect red lip!

How i do my perfect red lip!
As you may already know, i am very far away from anything professional here, but i have found a few tips and tricks that i think are really effective!

Step 1) Exfoliate...
Mix a small amount of honey, and half a tea spoon of sugar together on a plate, in this photo it looks very strange, but don't worry, it is supposed too! Gently, with small circular motions, rub this onto your lips, this is going to remove any dry skin and leaves them feeling super soft! You can buy a lip scrub (Lush do amazing ones that come in delicious flavours!) But this DIY alternative is just as effective and if a small fraction of the price! And you can lick this off or wash it away with a towel.

Step 2) Lip balm...
Apply a liberal amount of lip balm, of any kind, to your lips, this is going hydrate and smooth your lips. This makes the lipstick application much easier! I am using a lip balm from Balance Me, it's their rose Otto intensive lip salve. It is quite expensive but it is one of my favourite lip balms around, and Glamour Magazine often give away Balance Me products.

Step 3) Line...
I am Using A lip liner from e.l.f (in"bitter") and lining my lips, making sure that i create a clear shape of my cupids bow, ready for the lipstick! In my opinion, when you use lip salve before, the liner goes on alot more smoothly and is easier to blend if you wanted to. Apply the lip liner that is a similar one to your lipstick colour, go a shade darker for more dimension if you want to. Apply the liner when your lip balm has sunken into your lips!

Step 4) The lipstick...
With a lip brush and your chosen lipstick ( i am using an MUA lipstick in shade 1) fill in the whole of your lips! Using a brush will give you a much more precise shape, and this way you can build the up the colour, to what you are happy with. Make sure to stay inside the lip liner!

Step 5) Gloss? ...

If you want more of a matte look, then leave it there... but if you want glossy lips, then choose a gloss, i am using a Collection 200, pure gloss lip shine in Dolly Mixture. I dotted it around the bottom o my lips and rubbed then together. This created a fun and classic red lip!
Then your done!

MUA lip boom

                                                         MUA lip boom review!

MUA have released a new product to their professional range, with Alexandra Berk... The Lip boom!
It is a £3.00 lipstick, tint and gloss in one, which is said to give you 4 different lip looks, only using your lip boom! It comes with a matte lipstick one one end, a sheer tint in the shade of the lipstick on the end of the lipstick, and a glittery gloss on the other end. They have a good range of  8 colours that suit many different skin tones, whether you like neutral lips or a pop of red...
1) "wear the lipstick on it's own for a matte look"
Pro: The lipstick is very matte ( which is fab if you like the matte look), the pigmentation is
just amazing and you can choose if you want a more subtle look or if you want a bright pop of colour!
Con: It can be a little drying on the lips, and the lasting power is not to great, it tends to rub off on me whenever i eat, drink or talk throughout the day.

2) "wear the lipstick with the gloss on the centre of the lips for a subtly shimmery lip"
Pro: It gives you definition on the lips, and is not overpowering with the shimmery gloss.
Con: I find that the gloss goes a little uneven because it has alot of quite chunky glitter in it!

3) "Wear The lipstick with the gloss over the lips"
Pro: It gives your lips a super shimmery look that gives you a super bright pop of colour, and it help to keep your lips nice and moisturised!
Con: It can get over powering with the strong glitter, and again it is really uneven when you put the gloss on

4) "wear the lipgloss on it's own for a shimmery lip look"
pro: It is a nice subtle shimmer look, that is great for summer
con: It doesn't really last long, and tends to slip away easily.

I think that this product is a really fun and cool idea, and i would happily by more of these!
P.S cheeky (1st picture) is an amazing dupe for M.A.C st Germain!

Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara... My thoughts!

Glamour Magazine (in June) were giving away Benefit samples, for £2.00, with a magazine obviously! I picked up The Bad Gal lash mascara in black, and have been using it everyday since! Alot of people on the Internet, have given bad reviews on this mascara, but for school this is absolutely perfect. It gives me long and fluttery quite natural looking lashes, that you can build up if you wanted to. The brush on this is massive and thick, and is kind of  a fabric type brush, rather than a plastic one, with no bristles. This for me if a lengthening mascara, but is not very voluminous, so this may not be what you are looking for is you like bold and dramatic lashes! This mascara is £16.50 which is super expensive, but if it is your budget, i personally would really recommend it!

Perfect summer skin in 4 steps...<3

A big part of keeping me skin healthy and keep the dryness at bay, is exfoliating...For my face, i love the Neutrogena Deep clean Invigorating Daily scrub! It is a jell like face wash with small micro beads in it, that gently remove dry skin, and cleanse deep into your pores. This makes my skin feel so clean and firm after use, although recommended daily, i use it every other day. This has a very clean and fresh smell too! You can pick this up pretty much anywhere, Drugstores and super markets, for about £3-4.50 ish! (dependant on where you purchase it.)

For my body, i love the "pulp Friction" foamy fruity body scrub, for Soap and Glory! This is quite a rough almost gritty, scrub do i only use this on my body ( legs and arms) Once every week. This has Fig powder, Pumice (the exfoliating part) peppermint oil, orange waterjuice and vitiminballs A,C and E! And like most of Soap and Glory's products, this smells amazing! You can only get this product in boots in the U.K, and it is £8.00 for 250ml (or 800 boots beauty card points ;) <3

Moisturiser is another important thing that is especially important for me in the summer time, my favourite moisturiser for my face is cheap and cheerful: Nivea soft! This is a gentle moisturiser with a soft and clean smell that helps to keep my face looking smooth and protects it from drying out when in the sun! For a pot of 300ml it is about £3.00, in boots and superdrug, along with any supermarkets.

For my body, I love The body shop Body Butters! I love the mango one for Normal skin, and also love the blueberry one! They are quite thick in consistency but skin in really well in my skin. They are usually £12.50 but they are forever having good sales, where you can pick the up for 5 or 6 pounds! Their range of scents is amazing too!

Next is tanner.... I never use fake tanner on my face, but on my legs and arms, i love the Garnier Summer body gradual tanning lotion. It gives you a natural looking tan, and if you exfoliate and moisturise (^) properly, it never goes patchy! This products has a really fresh a fruity apricot smell, not the usual fake tanner smell! Boots and Superdrug sell this cheaply, Usually sold at £5.10 but they often do deals on this tan (superdrug especially) and you can grab it for about £2.55! (250ml, 510 boots beauty card points)

The last thing on my list is bronzer! I don't bronze my body, though body bronzer is easy to pick up now in drugstores! My favourite is from E.L.F, in the studio line. It is the "Cool" Bronzer quad, which allows you to have blush, bronzer and highlight in one compact! I like to swirl a fluffy brush through all of the shades and run it on the cheek bones, for head and a little on the temples! It gives the skin a summery glow, and this is from elf this is £3.75!

I hope you enjoyed this post, thankyou so much for stopping by! <3<3<3<3

Revlon Superlustrous liptick in "pink pout"-drugstore £7.50 ish
I love this lipstick because of the matte finish, that is never drying! It is a pinky, mauve sort of colour, and is flattering on many skin tones. You can purchase this from many different drugstores, for about the £7.50 mark, but this i different depending on where you buy it! This is the best drugstore dupe for M.A.C's lipstick in "snob", and is also very similar to "airy fairy" lipstick from Rimmle London! <3

The packaging is really sleek, with a clear top, which is ideal for storage.
These don't have a scent at all, so you don't even notice that it is on your lips! <3

I think that a pinky toned or clear gloss looks lovely if you are not a fan of the mat look, i am not really big on the dry lips look, this lipstick is a huge exception!

Thank you for stopping by, if you could take the time to follow this blog, i would be so grateful!
Love you all! <3<3<,3<3<3
